We had to say goodbye to this girl a few weeks ago. This was definitely one of the most difficult things our family has been through in the last year. Especially since we unexpectedly lost her younger brother, Jackson, in January. Miss Sullivan experienced more life events with me than anyone else. In the past twelve years, she has lived with me in four houses, three cities, watched me get married, helped us welcome our son home, and so much more! These two were so much a part of our family, and will forever be missed. Our veterinarian mailed us the sweetest card that said, “Our precious pets may leave our sides but they stay in our hearts forever.” This is so true. We are thankful for the memories we shared together!

We have enjoyed looking back at old photos and retelling our favorite Jack and Sulli stories. Sullivan played an important role in helping me begin my photography business back in 2011. She and Gabriel were my first models! This is a great reminder of how much I have learned about composition, focus, exposure, and so much more! Hopefully it will also be an encouragement to new photographers who are just beginning their careers. If you are frustrated with the look of your images, don’t give up! With time and practice, you can do this čÖé┬áSullivan meeting 8 week old, 21 pound Jackson for the first time.Playing in the yard and first shopping experience! On the porch. Sullivan’s favorite place was always right next to people. She was always with us! I think this was our second Christmas in our first home. The front porch was one of our favorite places too! We spent many mornings and evenings sitting outside together, and not much has changed in eleven years!

The front porch at our new house is still one of our favorite places. It really is like a second living room! We will always think of our sweet girl sitting there with us. Sulli, we love you and miss you so much!
