How wide, how long, how high, and how deep is the love of Christ!
During this season, He has walked with us through miscarriages, adoption losses, multiple surgeries, and what felt like constant grieving. But over the past year, He has also beautifully redefined family.
I thought I wanted to be a mother. God knew I needed to be a daughter.
I thought becoming a mother would end the bittersweet pain of Mother’s day. It didn’t. Not until I learned how to embrace the pain instead of running from it, to give it to the One who calls me daughter – child of the One True King – to let Him hold the pain, to let Him hold me, and to replace the empty space with His never-failing love.
If Mother’s Day brings any pain or sadness for you, please know that my prayer for you right now is that you’ll know the depth of our Father’s love. Even if it hurts, open your heart to him, rest in his embrace, know in the deepest part of your soul that you are not alone.
He is with you.
I’m so grateful the Lord has placed several amazing women in my life as examples of how to live out my faith. Each one adds a different perspective, and I wouldn’t be who I am today without them. I could devote an entire post to each of these women, but for today I’ll leave you with pictures. Happy Mom’s Day!!
