This was technically not a full engagement session, although I wish we had time for one! I greatly admire people who can plan a wedding while living in separate cities! Wedding planning brings enough stress on it’s own, but throw in a long-distance relationship and you have to rely on more strength and creativity. That’s exactly what this couple has shown!

I’ve known Maddie for a while, and I’ve always been impressed by her strength. She loves fiercely, and goes out of her way to make others feel safe and welcomed. Her heart for serving the Lord is contagious and so is that smile!

They needed one photo for their wedding invitations, and had a few minutes on a weekend they were both in town. Of course, if you’re going to make the effort to get ready for a photo shoot, you’ll always want more than one photo! I think we used our limited time wisely!!

Seeing these photos truly brings tears to my eyes. They have such a sweet engagement story that fills me with joy – plus, their families threw the best surprise DONUT party to celebrate their engagement!! I’m so excited to watch these two start their life together! They are such a sweet couple and I know they will continue to bless all of those who know them. Congratulations Maddie and Cody!!!
